More Cyberterrorism today?

The news today is deeply disturbing regarding United Airlines and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) having major computer system shutdowns due to “technical glitches.”

Coincidence or cyberterrorism? This matches patterns of escalation from malware in our infrastructure, attacks on banks, hacks on companies like Anthem Blue Cross, our government under siege with the theft of records. It only makes sense that the hacks continue to reach new levels in their attempts at theft and undermining the American economy.

First thing this morning United Airlines reported that their systems were hung, taking almost two hours to recover. This “glitch” affected over 3,500 flights and hundreds of thousands of travelers throughout the air travel system

Then the NYSE halted all trading at 11:32am EDT as a major technical issue crashed the trading systems. The highly redundant and scalable systems implemented for trading don’t just crash from a glitch.

These both have the hallmarks of attacks, probing for weaknesses, resulting in tests to determine the capability to damage systems and our economy.

World War III might not be found with weapons in the sense that you know them. It is very possible a war could happen with just electrons, destroying our way of life.

I get more into CyberSecurity in chapter nine of my new book Liars & Whores: How Big Government and Big Business Are Working to Save Their Own Assets, Not Yours

UPDATE 11:16am PDT 7/8/2015 – The Los Angeles Times is reporting that NYSE officials are claiming there was no attack, “internal technical issue.” While entirely possible, it is actually more plausible that the highly redundant, highly available systems that they use were actually shutdown the moment a breach was monitored and the shutdown was a precautionary measure to isolate the incident before it could cause any major damage or theft. The hardware and software architecture used in the NYSE trading systems have multiple redundancies built-in, so an internal technical issue is nearly impossible.

Happy Independence Day July 4th 2015

Happy Independence Day USA!

239 years ago today, 56 brave men put their lives on the line (literally) with the treasonous act of declaring the independence of the 13 colonies from King George III. They were compelled to create a new country with individual liberty and freedom, without a central government or monarch telling them how to live their lives, with a freedom to pursue their own happiness and with fair representation of the people.

Celebrate with your friends and family today and think, if even for a moment, of all that we have and all that we can continue to create for future generations. And always, be safe in your celebrating!

Last year I did a special Independence Day show on Talk Radio 1210 WPHT in Philadelphia, PA, the home of our Continental Congress. Take a listen HERE

President Obama’s Hypocrisy on Trade and Freedom

shutterstock_24809839

Time for Congress to stop selling out the American people and the time has come for all of us to finally recognize that President Obama really does not support Israel.

The vile, anti-American, Constitution-undermining, Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) bill passed and has been signed by the President (check out chapter 8 of my new book to learn more). Not only that, the President and his administration are openly refusing to support the pro-Israel language (another problem with legislation is mixing topics), which essentially blocks the anti-Israel, Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction (BDS) movement. In other words, the President likes the corrupt TPA but not the part that supports Israel.

Who says the President hasn’t thrown Israel under the bus every chance he gets?

The one country in the Middle East that allows practicing one’s religion, freedom of speech, freedom of conscience, women’s rights, children’s rights, LGBT rights, and an open economic system. Israel is the one country the President doesn’t support. He’ll go out of his way to work with theocratically genocidal Iran, to open borders and normalize relations with oppressive Communist regimes like Cuba who harbor fugitive cop-killers, and supported the pro-Sharia anti-everyone else Muslim Brotherhood Egypt, but he won’t support the one country who shares our concepts of universal human rights.

I grant that the disputed territories are disputed and international law is unclear because of the way Israel won the territory in the 1967 war with Jordan (legal), but didn’t formally annex the territory (puts it in unclear legal area).

But that means the President should continuously kow-tow to the anti-Israel groups? It should not.

And the weak-kneed Congress ever focused on funding their re-election campaigns handed over their constitutional authority to authorize foreign deals with a two-thirds vote.

For shame.
