While the presidential race consumes the air in the room, this might have skipped past you. CNet is reporting that Amazon is working with two home automation companies to get one-time codes to unlock your front door for in-home delivery. That’s right, your Prime packages won’t be on your front step, but inside your house.

While I am a busy person and would love the security and convenience of having my Amazon Prime packages delivered inside the house, it is a little unsettling, isn’t it?

However, don’t we already hand out keys to the cleaning person, the dog walker, the neighbor? So, if we do that, isn’t it just as safe to give out a one-time code for our Smart Home door lock for inside delivery?
