Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Central Time is the Ethan Bearman Show on affiliates of the Genesis Communications Network, with the latest national and international events, plus science and technology news. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is coming to Washington, D.C. to speak to Congress regardless of National Security Advisor Susan Rice calling his visit “destructive“. I’ll discuss this with a key architect of the Egypt-Israel peace agreement, Ambassador Gideon Meir. Major career political consultant Hank Sheinkopf joins me to explain a huge court ruling in New York holding the PLO and PA responsible for $655.5 million in damages for terror attacks injuring or killing Americans during the Second Intifada. Then I discuss childhood bullying with World Champion Kung Fu Master Sifu Karl Romain, author of The Self-Confidence Factor: A Parent’s Guide to Bully Prevention followed by a discussion of a new citizen watchdog group, TSA Watch, with founder Evan Cutler.

Monday at 7:45 a.m. Alaska Time is the Tech Talk segment of The Michael Dukes Show on AM 700 KBYR where I’ll discuss the FCC decision to regulate the Internet under Title II.

Have you ever felt like our politicians in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. are never getting anything done? It’s gridlock baby and it’s our own fault.

There is a deep-seated human need to identify with a group and see other groups as the enemy. We haven’t evolved much from the Stone Age. It’s one of the reasons sports are so popular—I have my team to cheer for and everybody else is the opposition to be defeated.

The duopoly that we call our political system today with the Democrats and Republicans fits cleanly into this deep psychological need that we have. Sadly, it has devolved into something akin to sport or even warfare. And the Internet, with the anonymity of attacks, has sharpened the edge of the divide.

Every one of you shaking your head that it is only the other side that acts that way needs to bring your head back into the delightfully warm sunlight (while dodging the chemtrails) and realize that your side—whatever it may be—engages in this counterproductive behavior too.
