San Francisco Renaming Released Felons Justice Involved Persons

Fox News Channel Fox News @ Night with Shannon Bream invited me back on Thursday, August 22, 2019 alongside California RNC and civil rights attorney, Harmeet Dhillon.

Our topic was San Francisco Board of Supervisors voting to change language around people who have served their time and released into society from convicted felon to justice involved persons, among others.

I argue that we need to do everything we can to reduce recidivism and reintegrate them into society. If language is a barrier, then let’s change the language, like the Ban the Box laws that limit employers on job applications.

FNC Tucker Carlson Albertsons English Workplace

Thank you again Tucker Carlson and Fox News Channel for having me back on Friday evening, May 4, 2018. We discussed the ramifications of the EEOC suing Albertsons for a manager disallowing Spanish spoken amongst co-workers when NOT interacting with customers.

Businesses of course want to do what they can to best serve their customers, as they should do more! However, employees conversing amongst themselves in another language is protected behavior. It’s not like these employees were claiming to not speak English and refusing to help the customers.

More importantly this is a prime example of why big companies need greater scrutiny over how they approach hiring and managing employees. When I was a teenager working at McDonalds I’d speak German to a coworker who was in my German class just so we could converse without people overhearing our conversation. We were still getting our work done and high reviews, but it allowed us to talk without people eavesdropping. Why can’t these employees do the same?
