Huge Announcement About My KGO 810 Radio Show

UPDATE 3/4/2019 Per TALKERS Magazine

Ethan Bearman Leaves KGO.  Heavy Hundred talk media rising star Ethan Bearman has informed TALKERS magazine that he and KGO, San Francisco have parted ways.  Bearman, known for his youthful view of politics and lifestyles from an independent position, began his career at KSCO, Santa Cruz.  He joined Cumulus San Francisco in January of 2014 as a

personality at KSFO and moved over to KGO in early 2016 where he was most recently heard live each day between 10:00 am and 12:45 pm with a replay in evenings at 7:00 pm.  Bearman, who lives in Southern California and has been studying law at Loyola Law School Los Angeles, performed his daily show by remote from the Westwood One studios in Culver City.  Bearman tells TALKERS, “I love the Bay Area audience and the folks at KGO have been wonderful, but my home and family are in LA and I always knew that this set up would eventually have to end.  I’m excited about receiving my law degree this coming May and moving on with my media career with that extra credential from this location.”  In addition to his radio work, Bearman has become a popular go-to commentator on cable news/talk TV and regularly appears as a guest on the Fox News Channel.

KGO 810

KGO 810 Radio had a big press release on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 (read below).

This is my response:

Today I honor our legendary broadcaster Ronn Owens. His voice has been an institution on the great KGO 810 for 42 years in the late morning. I am proud to now be joining the greater San Francisco Bay Area in that time slot.

Ronn was one of the first people I met when I came from the Santa Cruz market. He was warm, congenial, and very supportive in my new home on the air.

I will do my best to entertain and inform as a warmup to the new Ronn Owens Report you’ll hear every day at 12:50pm.

Together we can laugh while helping each other improve our lives and making the world a better place.

Press Release:

At 12:50pm every weekday, KGO 810 will present the Ronn Owens Report, an eight-minute segment featuring legendary Hall of Fame KGO personality Owens’ take on the news of the day and what’s happening around the world. KGO 810 is introducing nationally known medical expert and media personality Dr. Drew Pinsky to San Francisco. Listen to Dr. Drew Midday LIVE weekdays from 1pm-3pm. Mike Anthony, Operations Manager, KGO 810, said: “The Next Generation of KGO 810 in 2018 reflects the changing lifestyle and information needs of the San Francisco audience. Dr. Drew said: “San Francisco is the epicenter of change in the world and I’m looking forward to connecting with the people to talk about life issues, the politics of life and anything that helps listeners improve their personal situations. There is no better place than the legendary KGO 810 to engage and dialogue with San Francisco.”

It Is On – This Weekend

EthanBearmanLogoNew2015

We could potentially have our first Hispanic President in Senator Ted Cruz, Germanwings co-pilot twisted 9/11 safety rules resulting in 150 deaths, computers are writing the news, and knapsack halting quantum hacks, and so much more this weekend!

2015-096

First, I would like to thank TALKERS magazine for honoring me with a second year in their list of the Heavy Hundred of talk radio.

2015 Good Times Best of Santa Cruz

March 25th was a two-fer with my loyal listeners in Santa Cruz, where I haven’t been a local host for a full year now, voted me runner-up Best Radio Personality in Santa Cruz County, against music stations, NPR, sports, etc., in the Good Times Reader Poll. Thank you!

Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m. Pacific Time is the Ethan Bearman Program on Hot Talk 560 KSFO in San Francisco, covering the latest in Bay Area and California news and current events. Strange stories abound, from the scientist backing off his one year of water left claim to an alleged, complex kidnapping hoax. Texas Senator Ted Cruz announced his candidacy for President on Monday, I’ll speak with International Business Times Breaking News Editor Cristina Silva regarding her article “Ted Cruz 2016: Why Hispanic Voters Might Not Be Thrilled If Texas Senator Becomes First Latino President.” A discussion with California’s RNC Commiteeman Shawn Steel will bring the latest news on the 2016 political races. And the #NotTheOnion segment points out news that sounds like satire, but is real.

Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. Central Time is the Ethan Bearman Show on affiliates of the Genesis Communications Network, with the latest national and international events, plus science and technology news. Horrible news from the Alps with Germanwings 9525 intentionally taken down by the co-pilot. Psychologist Doctor Bart Rossi join me to discuss. Robots taking over? I’ll discuss with IBT writer Max Willens and his article “SXSW 2015: Robots, Algorithms Infiltrate The News Business, Selecting Stories And Writing Them.” Plus more disastrous moves by President Obama in retaliation against Israel, which didn’t make the headlines, and more!

Tuesday at 10 p.m. Eastern Time is the Rick Amato Show on One America News Network on Verizon FiOS 116/616, AT&T U-verse 208/1208, GCI 64/703, Frontier 208/1208, CenturyLink 209/1209 where I’ll be a featured guest in studio discussing the latest political and cultural topics with Rick.

Arrival in Israel July 29, 2014

Signs all over for bomb shelters
Signs all over for bomb shelters

I safely arrived at Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport today, July 29, 2014. The first thing I noticed upon departing the plane were the bomb shelter signs every 50 feet. Slightly ominous, but strangely no different than tornado shelter signs in the Midwest. Yes, yes, bombs are made by humans and tornadoes are natural.

Then my driver, Alexei, drove me to Jerusalem. Along the way we passed both Israeli and Palestinian towns. They all had walls, fences, and checkpoints. Otherwise the notable difference was that the Palestinians had black water tanks on their rooftops, while the Israelis had white or silver. And I liked how the road signs were in three languages:: Hebrew, Arabic, and English.

Dropped my bags at the hotel and was warmly greeted by Chanan Elias with The Face of Israel. We walked across the street to the brand new, state-of-the-art, Voice of Israel studios to begin recording my interviews.

I interviewed eight people right away. Then, exhausted and hungry, I went to grab a beer and pita smothered yummy meat, carrots, and other veggies, with the entertaining Chanan.

My arrival could not have gone any smoother.
