How many times do we have to hear stories of people’s naked pictures getting out and them being angry about it? Worse yet, a child who feels their life is ruined because they sexted someone who then shared the picture, like was reporting in the Washington Post again yesterday.
We must teach our children that any picture they don’t want everyone to see should never be taken in the first place. The way technology works now, it is possible that the picture(s) or sexts will make it to people who were not the intended recipient. People are not all wonderful and perfect and sometimes do mean things. Even though states like California, and 33 others, have revenge porn laws, those won’t protect you as they only punish after the damage has occurred.
What are you teaching your children?
