TownhallEditorGuy Benson and I debated the Democrats opposition to Judge Brett Kavanaugh in the Senate. We went into Senator Cory Booker’s opposition (“I am Spartacus“) and I explained why this is such a big deal to the Court.
On Thursday, Shannon Bream covers President Trump’s rally in Billings, Mont., to support Republican Senate candidate Matt Rosendale. Plus, the latest developments on the anonymous op-ed in the New York Times. The White House reportedly has a list of 12 possible suspects.
Fox News @ Night invited me back to join Shannon Bream on Friday, August 17, 2018. My fellow panelist was Nicki Neily, President of a group called Free Speech.
Our topic was the need for free speech and debate on college campuses today. There is a new movement to get people with opposing views together and work to open communication.
I argue, again, for insensitivity training so feelings aren’t hurt so easily. Plus the fact this really isn’t that different from 20 years ago.
I also pointed out that it’s fun for the right to pick on college students regarding the First Amendment, yet ~40% of Republicans (it’s actually 43%) want the President to have the power to shut down media they don’t like.
And, I very intentionally brought up the need for another James Baldwin vs. William F. Buckley, Jr. debate at Cambridge in 1965 where an eloquent man of color decimated WFB in front of a white crowd, on the topic of racism.
Fox News Channel‘s Fox News at Night had me back on Friday, August 11, 2018. Ed Henry was in for Shannon Bream.
Omarosa‘s new tell-all book “Unhinged,” is coming out and the accusations are shocking (like a $15k/month payoff to NOT publish, Trump dropping the N-word, etc.). However, I argue the book adds nothing to what we already know about the long line of Trump’s horrific history toward minorities.
“When Mexico sends its people, they’re not sending their best. They’re not sending you. They’re not sending you. They’re sending people that have lots of problems, and they’re bringing those problems with us. They’re bringing drugs. They’re bringing crime. They’re rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.” – Donald Trump, presidential announcement speech, June 16, 2015
I joined Fox News at Night with Shannon Bream and the Washington Times Charles Hurt on Monday, July 2, 2018.
Our topic was the latest on Trump’s personal attorney Michael Cohen and whether he will flip based upon the interview he gave to ABC News’ George Stephanopolous:
But in his first in-depth interview since the FBI raided his office and homes in April, Cohen strongly signaled his willingness to cooperate with special counsel Robert Mueller and federal prosecutors in the Southern District of New York — even if that puts President Trump in jeopardy.
“My wife, my daughter and my son have my first loyalty and always will,” Cohen told me. “I put family and country first.”
We spoke for 45 minutes Saturday evening at a Manhattan hotel, where Cohen has been staying for the past several months. And during that time, the question of whether Cohen might flip on the president has been the subject of intense speculation.
We discussed the homeless calamity affecting so much of the West Coast (Seattle had a potential convention complain), the impending SCOTUS decision on unions (Janus v. AFSCME Council 31), and Senator Lindsay Graham telling people off regarding working with Trump where they agree.
Thanks again to Fox News Channel for having me on Fox News @ Night with Shannon Bream, Wednesday, March 28, 2018. They had me on with Lisa Boothe and Mollie Hemingway for two separate segments. In the first segment we discussed the Trump Administration showing its true colors cracking down on LEGAL immigration, plus the IG investigating alleged FISA abuse. And in the second segment we discussed the ABC Roseanne reboot which had huge ratings with Trump supporters, and the student in Rocklin California who is countering the March For Our Lives with an Anti-Abortion walkout.
